Everything Is Rosy & Flowering Foils Birthday Card

Everything Is Rosy & Flowering Foils Card

Hi Crafters,

I wanted to play with the Flowering Foils DSP and colour them with inks.  I chose to use Night of Navy and Mossy Meadow Ink Pads.  I began colouring using sponge daubers, but then changed to brushes, I found the brushes much nicer to use and I feel they blended better.

I have used items from the Everything Is Rosy Medley (currently on sale in my Stampin' Up! Shop, while stocks last), consisting of Stamps, DSP, Leaf Border Die, Rose Gold Card, Mirror Dots, Ribbon and Labels.  I also used Whisper White card stock as the card base.

Tutorial

  1. Whisper White Card 8 1/4" x 5 7/8", scored at 4 1/8".
  2. Fold the front of card back on itself until the edge is lined up with the folded edge of the card. Burnish both crease lines.
  3. Colour a strip of Flowering Foils Speciality Paper 1 1/14" x 5 7/8" Flowers in Night of Navy and leaves in Mossy Meadow.  Leave background white.
  4. Cut your chosen strip of DSP to 2" x 5 7/8" for front folded back piece.
  5. Cut Rose Gold Foil to 1.3/4" x 5 7/8"
  6. Lay the Leaf Edge Die on right hand edge of foil strip and run through die cutting machine.
  7. Cut another DSP piece of your choice to 2" x 5 7/8" for inside panel.
  8. Cut a piece of DSP of your choice to 3 7/8" x 5 3/8" for back piece of card base
  9. Adhere your step 4 piece onto white card panel.
  10. Adhere your 1 3/4" Flowering Foils strip onto Gold Foil strip then adhere both to front panel of  card. leaving an even gap on edges.
  11. Adhere the step 8 DSP onto white card base (inner)
  12. Choose two of your label embellishments from Medley, stamp your greetings on in Night of Navy Ink.
  13. Adhere one centrally on the inner card base
  14. Lay out the second label on the front panel, so that it is half over the panel and extending over the inner card label.  It will look better if the front label covers the inner label when the card is closed.
  15. Add the Navy Ribbon to top left of  front label with a glue dot, place a flower embellishment on top with dimensional or glue dot
  16. Add three of the Rose Gold Mirror Dots where desired on your card.
