Life is Beautiful - Stepped Up Hello Card

Life Is Beautiful Hello Card
Stepped Up

Hello Crafters

Welcome to today's tutorial.  This card is my stepped up version from yesterdays post which was quick and easy simple stamping.

I'm using the Life is Beautiful Stamp Set,  Woodgrain effect DSP from the In Good Taste paper pack, Faux Suede Ribbon and a small piece of Sahara Sand Twine.  The leaves on this one are more autumn themed with more reds and browns.

Materials & Measurements

Early Espresso card base - 8 1/4" x 5 7/8" scored and burnished at 4 1/8", Portrait orientation
Dark Woodgrain DSP 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"
Very Vanilla panel 4" x 3"
Very Vanilla 5 5/8" x 3 7/8" Inside panel
Stampin' Write Markers:  Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie
Classic Ink Pads:  Soft Suede, Early Espresso
Faux Suede Ribbon approx 3 1/4"

  1. Adhere your DSP to card base, leaving an even border all around.
  2. On Very Vanilla panel, ink up the tree stamp with Soft Suede and stamp towards the left side of the card coming off the edge a little.
  3. Ink the Hello stamp with Early Espresso and stamp at the bottom right corner of Very Vanilla panel.
  4. Using Markers, dot individual colours around on the cluster of leaves stamp, you will need to 'huff' on the stamp before stamping to re-moisten ink, stamp down onto tree branches.
  5. Repeat step 4 for a fuller look.
  6. Repeat step 4 again to inside panel, bottom right corner coming of the edges, adhere to inside.
  7. Wrap the ribbon across the front of the stamped panel just above the Hello. Put some tape or glue dots on reverse of panel at left and right end and secure the ends of the ribbon on back.
  8. Adhere panel to card base.
  9. If desired, tie some twine around the ribbon in a simple knot.
That's it!! your card is complete. Oh... don't forget to decorate your envelope!!
