Instructions
Trim a piece of So
Saffron card stock to 8-1/4" x 5-7/8" (21cm x 15cm)
Score @ 4-1/8"
(10.5cm) down middle of the long side, burnish the fold to get a nice crisp
fold line.
Trim a piece of
Whisper White card 1/2" smaller than card base, along one long side and
one short side ( 5-3/8" x3-5/8" ) to give a 1/4" border around
card base.
Attach Birthday
Wishes stamp to Acrylic Block ensuring it is nice and straight, tap lightly
onto Mossy Meadow Ink and press the stamp onto white card panel in upper right
corner. (you may want to test the stamp is fully inked by checking it and doing
a practice stamp on scrap paper first).
Attach the long
branch stamp onto a large acrylic block, ink it up with Mossy Meadow, you need
to carefully remove the ink with a cloth from the end of the bare branch
section, check as above and stamp off
one time onto scrap paper (2nd generation stamping). Position the branch end towards the centre of
the card and the flower end towards the bottom right corner and stamp, allow a
few seconds for the ink to transfer to the card then lift the stamp straight up
from the card to avoid smudging.
Repeat the last step
with the flower end pointing towards the top left corner and the branch end
meeting the first one in the centre.
TIP: If your ink is very juicy, you
could use a plastic spoon to move some of the ink on your ink pad away to the
edge, and you will get a more detailed
image with this Distinktive Stamp.
Stamp the large
detailed butterfly in So Saffron ink, 1st generation, (repeat the plastic spoon
process if required), onto bottom left, facing the centre.
Stamp the smallest
butterfly two times on top right and mid bottom of card.
Ink the small flower
in Balmy Blue and stamp in 2nd & 3rd generation along the branch image as
desired.(stamp off once onto scrap paper, then twice onto card layer).
On the inside of the
card base stamp 'Love To Celebrate You' in Mossy Meadow Ink on middle of card.
Then with the small flower and Balmy Blue Ink, 2nd generation stamp one flower
top left and bottom right of sentiment.
You're almost finished......
Apply glue to the
back of your Whisper White card layer.
Then attach centrally onto the front of your So Saffron card base,
leaving an even border all around.
TIP:
Liquid glues allow you a little more time to move your layer into
position.
Just one more step
then you're done ...
Don't forget the
Envelope.....
With your large
detailed and small detailed butterflies, and So Saffron ink stamp onto envelope
to give that extra special touch. You could add a Balmy Blue Flower as well if
you wish.
Voila, well done!!!
